Our Mission

The vision of Christmas for Children is that every Hood County child will have a warm home, a loving family, and the feeling of being loved. Every child, no matter their socio-economic status, has the same wishes, hopes, wants and needs.  Imagine the life long effects of that child having their wishes and dreams fulfilled by Santa just like other boys & girls.  We do this through the tireless efforts of dedicated volunteers and generous contributions of the community.

Hood County Christmas for Children

Hood County Christmas for Children, Inc.

A great thank you to the employees of Hood County for their toys.
----via granburyisd.org--- Granbury students are busy collecting cash and toy donations to support Hood County Christmas for Children. Each year, students raise several thousand dollars for the local charitable organization that provides Christmas gifts and bicycles to children from families with economic need. This includes thousands from the National Honor Society at Granbury High School – with the money coming from ticket proceeds to the “Tunes for Tots” annual contest. Hundreds of toys are also collected each year during drives sponsored by school student council leaders.
Our volunteers are getting ready for a fulfilling and busy season ahead.
We are in major shopping mode for kids whose angels that don't get adopted.  A hardy team of Christmas for Children elves will be braving the elements (uhhh crowds) to shop "Black Friday" at Walmart today for over 3000+ kids.  We love our kids!
The Leadership Granbury Team stops by Hood County Christmas for Children to learn more about our program.  Members include business leaders, government officials, civic leaders, healthcare providers, educators and others who make Granbury the kind of community it is today. Leadership Granbury is a unique opportunity to acquire more information about the institutions and organizations that make this community work and thrive.
Several board members attended the Kiwanis Luncheon to receive a generous donation from our local chapter.
Santa's workshop or as we call it "The Workshop" is starting to fill up.  Toys that are donated and/or purchased with monetary donations are setup and organized here.  We have a long ways to go to reach our goal this year, but we are confident and need your help to make it all happen.  Let us know how you can help.
